Jim Hillman

Curriculum Vitae

Jim Hillman’s group The Merlin Factor won the ’94 JUNO Award for “Best Contemporary Jazz Album”, and was nominated in the same category in ‘95. They were also recipients of the Jazz Report magazine’s “Electric Jazz Group of the Year” for three consecutive years.

Ten years later and the group still exists and flourishes - as does Jim Hillman's career. 2004 saw him lead his own group for a three-month stint at the renowned House of Blues and Jazz in Shanghai, China.
